Durand Choirs

The mission of the Durand Area Schools Vocal Music Department is to provide meaningful experiences in the performance, understanding, and appreciation of music as a discipline. The department strives to encourage musical excellence by providing quality instruction to students of all levels of musical ability and experience.

Durand Vocal Music has classes for every student, from the beginning music student who wishes to investigate the opportunities available to the experienced who seeks to challenge and broaden their foundation. All students will be encouraged to pursue the study of music theory, performance while receiving the enjoyment and personal satisfaction of rehearsing, and performing in large and/or small ensembles. Emphasis is placed on good rehearsal techniques, basic musicianship, and quality performances.
