Snow Day!
As many of you know, in most cases, when the forecast reaches the level of a Warning, the county schools all close down. We have now entered the level of a Warning, which will result in the cancelation of school tomorrow. The worst of the weather will be with us in the late afternoon, so all afternoon and evening activities will be canceled as well.
Apparently there is a real possibility that we may receive a significant amount of ice and or sleet during this weather event. Please remind your young drivers that brakes are not functional in breaking situations when dealing with roads that are iced, like we might see once the storm arrives. (Sorry, I taught driver’s education for 9 years, so I worry even more about new driver’s on the road.)
Again, School canceled and all evening activities on Wednesday, February 22.
