Music Appreciation (Period 7)

Music Appreciation is a class that rotates every marking period. Students in this class will be exposed to a lot of different kinds of music, as well as a lot of information about music. They will learn how to read and write music, identify different instruments, perform on instruments or vocally, and be able to tell music apart by genre and time period. They will study music history and music from different cultures throughout the marking period. Students will also be expected to keep a listening journal each day in class.
